BIOGRAPHY        

 

S.O.U.L D33P is a dynamic duo from Chicago with a sound as refreshing and euphonic as they come.  With a strong musical foundation rooted in R&B, Hip-Hop and Reggae their style and sound cannot be mistaken and is sure to demand attention wherever they go.  These singers, songwriters and performers (to say the least) radiate a gravitational field of soul power with a strong sense of love, compassion and chemistry that shines through their music and stage presence.  With Taketha "Ty-E" Cole and Johnda "Jay" Cole on vocals and  in collaboration with Michelle "L.O.L.L.I.P.O.P." Lane lockin it down with that West Coast flow, S.O.U.L D33P brings flavor and variety to the forefront like the best of them.  They have performed at several night clubs, venues and festivals and have appeared on local news and cable broadcasts in Chicago as well.  

 

S.O.U.L D33P has also shared the stage with many local and international hip hop and reggae artists such as Junior "One Blood" Reid, Kofi James, Mos Def (Yasiin Bey), Goddoe, BaBou Chico, Anthony B, and Queen Omega to name a few.  S.O.U.L D33P' s most profound inspiration are derived from artists such as Bobby "Blue" Bland, Little Milton, Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfield, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Queen Latifah, M.C. Lyte, India Irie, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott and countless others.  Versatility is what it takes to last in this game and no doubt their current project, "Da Hustll" delivers just that.  Their single and title track to the album, "Da Hustll" fuses hardcore beats, pure harmonic energy and veridical lyricism that provide listeners with lyrical anecdotes for everyday urban life.  To enlighten as well as entertain is their musical mission and this dynamic deuce known as S.O.U.L D33P,  has a sound that is sure to be  appreciated by music lovers worldwide
